2023 Fall Equinox

The first day of fall is here! Happy Fall Equinox!

As far as fishing goes in the area, the local creeks haven’t been as productive. It usually happens around this time of year where the water becomes very clear and the trout aren’t as willing to strike at flies. There are still options of rivers to fish, but with the shortening days it’s becoming more challenging to get out. I’m trying to get in as much fishing as I can and hoping to have a few more Journal Entry posts over the next few months.

As far as blog posts go, I have one coming out next week regarding a little experiment I had done regarding fly visibility. Keep your eyes peeled for that one on Monday!

Last thing I wanted to talk about in the update is the Heritage Tenkara Project. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can find the website here!

Started with my friend Amanda, our goal is to encourage growth and inclusivity within the tenkara community. We hope to inspire people to get out and try tenkara, as well as help to foster a better community! We have a few articles up on the website already, with more on the way!

Thank you everyone for the continued support! I’m looking forward to what else this year has in store!
