Here we are! The Fall Equinox!
And with it, comes an update post...
We're coming closer and closer to the end of the Shokuryoshi Experiment, and the writings that go along with it. It's been fun sharing my experiences here, and I've gotten some good feedback on a handful of posts. I appreciate all who have taken the time to read through what I've written - I truly hope it has helped in some way!
The fishing up to this point has been good, and I'm looking forward to a little cooler weather as we move into the last few months of the fishing season. At the time of writing this, I'm looking at an average catch rate of 3.6 per hour (publicly posted stats show a little less due to upcoming months being filled with numbers that are to be updated over time) . I'm setting a goal to try to finish the year above 4 Fish/Hour, but would even like to try to double my average catch rate from 2023 (Which would be 4.6 fish/hour). To achieve that, I'll probably need a little bit of luck, but a few good days could boost those numbers. We'll see how it goes!
Back to the writings, I have a few posts coming up in the last stretch here that detail some ideas that may not be "true" tenkara as it's viewed today, but detail a few creative approaches to fishing different water types.
With all that said, here's to fall, and to the home stretch in this experiment! And, as always, thank you all for your support!
